A chore that we all hate to do but know it has to be done, cleaning our makeup brushes! I dread having to do this and try to use every other brush I have just to hold out that little bit longer so I don't have to wash my brushes. I generally spot clean my brushes in between washes so they are somewhat a bit cleaner and hopefully not as much bacteria living in them. So when I find the motivation to actually clean my brushes fully I use a natural baby shampoo (The one picture was just from my local IGA) and my Sigma express brush cleaning mat* that I love to death. I spoke about the Sigma brush cleaning mat before in a favourites here if your interested, it has cut my cleaning time down almost in half and also I have seen a huge improvement with the cleanness of my brushes.
The process is pretty quick all I ever do it wet my brushes, brush them in shampoo and then move them back and forth over my mat until the water runs clean from them and they do actually look clean. I then put them all in a row on my bench top to dry before putting them away and using them again. Simple hey!

Honestly what did we ever do without a brush cleaning mat! I have the Real Techniques one and its a real time saver as well!
