June Favourites

Well it's official we are half way through the year already! I swear as I get older the years just seem to go by quicker and quicker. June has all been about comfort and moisturising for me and the products I am about to talk about has helped me with this so let get right into it...

First up as the weather has gotten a bit chilly I have noticed my skin drying out a lot lately and the Natralus Paw Paw Moisturiser* has been a life saver, I have been smothering myself in this stuff and it is beautiful on as it isn't greasy and sinks in really quick. Another moisturising product I have been loving is the Beach Rd Body Oil* it is an all natural coconut body oil that I have been using on my legs after shaving and it has a beautiful light coconut smell. The L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil-in-Cream* has been helping to add moisture and shine into my hair and really helps keep my dry ends more hydrated. I love this leave in cream as you can use it three different ways in wet hair and dry and it makes my locks look and smell so good. Still on the hair subject for those lazy days where I know my hair needed a wash but I just could not be bothered I was using the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray * as a dry shampoo and it helped me out hugely it took away the oils from my hair and made it look and smell a lot better plus added a bit of volume to it.

On the skincare front I have been very minimal but I have been adding a bit more moisture into my skin and taken on a new night cream from Clinique the Youth Surge Night* it is a lovely hydrating night cream targeted towards combination oily to oily skin (Which is perfect for my oil slick of a face) and is suppose to offer great long term results due to the sirtuin technology which means it is suppose to enhance your skin’s ability to repair itself. I have seen so far the hydrating benefits and my skin always looks pretty good in the morning so it will be very interesting to see the more long term results. The Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser* has made its way into my evening routine after I use a makeup remover I use a little bit of this gorgeous cleanser and can I just say Antipodes has never let me down on any of the skincare products I have tried they have all been beautiful and this cleanser has won me over as well. After use this cleanser makes my skin feel so bloody good the only downfalls I found that it was a bit difficult to use to take my makeup off and you do need to remove this cleanser with a face cloth as it doesn't just come off with a bit of water. So worth a look at if you love Antipodes skincare.

I was pretty minimal in the month of June and I was the same with my lip colour choices, so I had discovered the Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Balms* and fell in love. I love sheer lipsticks/balms that just give you a wash of colour and leave your lips feeling hydrated and a bit of a glossy sheen. The Baby Lips Candy Wow Balms smell great and not overpowering at all and do give you a great wash of colour and keep your lips hydrated for a couple of hours before you need to reapply. The perfect handbag item that you can grab and go, specially if you are just wanting that little bit of something. My last favourite for the month of June was a tea, now I love herbal teas normal tea and a huge coffee addict so I was pretty excited to try out some of the Pukka teas, I have had some of their teas before and loved them and this month was the detox tea that I fell in love with. I suck at describing flavours or scents so I will not go into it all I can say is that it really tastes so good if you like aniseed/licorice then you will love this tea!

Well that is all from me for now, I would love to know what your favourites were so please leave me a comment below with your faves for June or a link to your post.

 * Products were gifted to me for consideration, all opinions are my own and I will always give my honest opinion.

  7. Do you think the Oribe spray is worth all of the hype around it? I've wanted to try it out for the longest time but I don't know whether or not it's really worth it!

    1. I did really enjoy it but I did however find this one made my hair go a bit dry/crispy if that makes sense. It did a great job at taking away the oils and adding volume to my thin straight hair but I would have liked it a whole lot more if it didn't make my hair go a bit crispy. I don't know if it is just because it is a texurizing spray and maybe there is another one that I should of been using for a dry shampoo more?

  11. Very little is it that I come across a favourites where I have no experience with any of the products, so this is a really useful read for me (not so much for my purse however!) The Baby Lips Candy Wow will definitely be making it onto my shopping list!

  14. I have heard so many great things about that Oribe spray that I really want to try it; just not sure it will work for my curly hair?? That Clinique overnight moisturizer is a great pick. I have used it not too long ago and I really like it. x

    1. I cannot see why not Hun, I do have thin straight hair but I cannot see why it would work for your curly hair. It might not add as much volume as I got from it with the weight of your hair but I am sure you would still be able to get the benefits from it. The moisturiser has been great such a nice product. Thank you for reading xx
