Gwen Stafani x Urban Decay Eye Shadow Palette

Thursday, 18 February 2016

The Urban Decay and Gwen Stafani eye shadow palette, what a great collaboration. I have always admired Gwen for her beauty and fashion sense she always looks so on point and put together. I knew I had to have this palette as I am a fan of Gwen herself and I do also love UD eye shadows. But was it worth it and do you really need to have it in your collection?...

The packaging of this palette is simple but classy and very sturdy. It contains 15 eye shadows, all usable shades with a few pop of colours to add that something different to your look. The shadows are like most UD shadows very easy to work with and blend out great, some of the shadows do have a bit off fall out and others are more pigmented then others as you can see from the swatches.

Overall I would have to say that I do really enjoy this palette but it is not something everyone needs to rush out and buy. As a beauty junkie I had to get my hands on it but other then that I have a lot of other palettes that I would choose over this one.

What are your thoughts on this palette and the collaboration?

  1. I love that Gwen collaborated with Urban Decay and to be honest I hope brands (other than mac) start doing more collaborations with people like Gwen, it definitely makes for interesting products! I think for me though I'll take a miss on this palette, I have so many already and I know I'll probably never end up using some of those brighter shades.

  2. It's a gorgeous palette but I know I would only use the nude shades and I have a lot of similar palettes. Baby and Pop look like gorgeous shades!

  3. Unf I want this so bad but buying a palette when you are unemployed is not wise! Then again, I'd probably realistically only where the nude shades. Great review and swatches!

  7. Suuuuch a pretty palette. I have a Mecca voucher sitting there that I told myself would be used on this palette but after all the hype has died down I'm just not feeling it anymore. Still so pretty though xx

    1. It is a great palette, but you will probably have these shades in another palette already and get more for your money on something else.

  8. I'm definitely a neutrals-only eyeshadow girl so I think I'd be a lot more tempted by this palette if you took out the whole bottom row, but I understand that row probably holds most of the appeal for people who are a bit more daring with their makeup than I am.

    1. I am the same as you they could have left the bottom row off and I would love it a bit more, I generally wear neutral shades and purple/rose/mauve colours but never a vibrant blue or pink haha
